Transport
There are a range of options for ground transportation. The option you select will depend on your personal requirements and budget and can significantly enhance your tour experience and enjoyment. Golf Around Scotland is pleased to offer the following 4 options.
Self Drive Vehicles
This option tends to be for the smaller groups of 2 to 4 persons. Groups of over 4 will require 2 or more vehicles. We work with carefully selected car rental companies.
As part of a self-drive package you are also given a ‘travel pack’ for your trip. The travel pack contains maps and useful information to help you get around as well as vouchers for the various courses you will play within your itinerary. You will also have the full back of our office here in Scotland.
Scheduled Airport and Course Transfers
This is a popular and cost effective option for our clients. Suitable for groups of all sizes this option involves a driver and suitable sized vehicle collecting you from the airport on day of arrival, transferring you to and back from the golf course each day and returning you to the airport on day of arrival.
Unlike our dedicated driver options your driver would only be contracted to handle your airport and course transfers with any additional journeys charged as extra.
Mini Coach and Driver
Suitable for groups of up to 8 persons this option allows you to sit back, relax and concentrate on your golf with a driver/guide for the duration of your trip. Your Mini Coach will be for your exclusive use throughout the tour for transfers, sightseeing, distillery visits, dinner bookings ect. The only limiting factor is that the drivers hours must be kept within the legal limit as set out in EU regulations.
Larger Coach and Driver
We have built up relationships over the years with several golf transportation specialists and have access to coaches of all sizes from 9 all the way up to 40 seats. Your Coach will be for your exclusive use throughout the tour for transfers, sightseeing, distillery visits, dinner bookings ect. The only limiting factor is that the drivers hours must be kept within the legal limit as set out in EU regulations.
Golf Club Shipping

Caddies
Golf Tours Around Scotland would be happy to request caddies for you in advance of your tour. Golf Courses will only take requests for caddies and will not guarantee them. Caddie fees vary from course to course and should be paid on the day in cash. There is also a generally acceptable gratuity for a job well done of at least 50% of the hire charge.
