Dumbarnie
At first glance Dumbarnie Links may have the appearance of the style of the classic links courses where The Open Championship has been played since 1860. However, the extensive 345-acre site at Dumbarnie is particularly special. Its dual elevations, which are connected by a flowing escarpment, have provided the opportunity to create a number of elevated tees where holes play directly towards panoramic views of the expansive Firth of Forth. A further outstanding feature is that a number of tees and greens are in close proximity to the water. In fact, fourteen of the holes have views of the Bay and the Firth of Forth.

St Andrews Castle Course
The newest addition to the St Andrews Links portfolio, the Castle Course delivers a different view, different terrain and a different test. It’s an undulating roller-coaster of a course delivering great fun and tremendous variety.
Quite different from the courses on the links to the west of town, the Castle Course was built on land used over the centuries for hunting then farming.
The terrain has been sculpted to create a natural looking course with rolling fairways and severely undulating greens. Hugging the rugged coastline, the course offers stunning views out to sea and down to the historic town of St Andrews.Due to its elevated situation, the wind is even more influential here than down by the water, and the direction and strength will be key to any round.

Lundin Links
Lundin Links remains largely as it was some 100 years ago. The first five holes are in classic links tradition proceeding from the Clubhouse to the Mile Dyke. Players then cross the now extinct railway line and play the nine ‘newer’ (1908) James Braid designed holes. Back across the railway, the last four holes revert to pure links. Not long by modern standards, Lundin nonetheless presents a thorough test of the golfer’s skills. For many years Lundin was a worthy host to the Final Qualifying stages of The Open when it was held in St. Andrews.

Leven Links
Whilst golf has been played at Leven since 1820, the game dates back to 1846 on arts of these links with the current configuration coming into being in 1909.
The history of Leven Links is, suffice to say, long and complex but what is most important is the nature of the ground upon which it is built. Local conditions of winds and tides during prehistoric times, when sea levels were falling combined to produce a series of parallel dune ridges which give Leven Links a truly unique signature.
From the start of your round you will be conscious of the fairways running along the valleys between these old dunes. It makes for superb definition and a true test of links golf as the slopes and bounces of these natural obstacles come into play throughout the round.
